Running Accomplishments:

PR's: Mile - 5:15 (High School - Boise State Stadium) 2 mile - 11:14 (High School - Boise State Stadium) Steeple Chase - 10:49 5K - 17:01(Hayward Field - Oregon) 10K - 35:30 (Stanford University - California) Half Marathon - 1:19 (Top of Utah 2012) Marathon - 2:49 (Top of Utah 2012)

Short-Term Running Goals:

I'd like to run a sub 1:18 half marathon and a sub 2:43 marathon.

Long-Term Running Goals:

At some point I think it would be pretty awesome to qualify for the marathon Olympic trials, but between injuries and babies I'm not sure if the stars will align for me. Overall, I just want to be healthy enough to continue to get out the door everyday for a run. It keeps me sane and happy. Plus, I love the friends that I get to meet and spend time with because of running - they keep me going.

Personal:

I'm married to Ken who also ran at Weber State (yep, we were one of those track marriages). We now have a 5 year old daughter and a 2 year old son. We live in Ogden and love the Utah running community. We own and operate UtahRunning.com and enjoy sharing our passion for running with others. Besides spending my time being a wife, mother, and runner, I recently finished up a Master's Degree in Exercise Science and I enjoy coaching.

Ran for 37:01 this morning up on the Ogden trails. Stayed low and only ran into a few icy splotches. It was nice to get up on the trails again. I was feeling pretty sluggish starting out on the run, but once I hit the trails, there is just something about them that brings an added energy to my body. Overall, ran easy and slow. I didn't get out the door until 8:30, so I took a Clif Shot before the run to give me some fuel. Ready to eat by the time I got home. Hamstrings felt fine during run. Didn't really notice them until after the run. stretched a little while kids crawled all over me...very effective ;-)
